Dr. Ihab Kodsi

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Kodsi grew up in Toronto where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction from the University of Western Ontario, completing all years with honours and graduating with awards in prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry. He went on to continue his training at the University of British Columbia in a one-year hospital-based dental residency program with advanced training in all aspects of dentistry including clinical and didactic training in conscious sedation.

After practicing in the Greater Toronto Area for several years as a general practitioner with a focus on oral surgery, Dr. Kodsi went on to complete a full-scope specialty training program in oral & maxillofacial surgery at McGill University which included extensive training in all aspects of oral & maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery with virtual planning, treatment of maxillofacial trauma, oral pre-prosthetic and implant surgery, head and neck pathology, maxillofacial oncology and reconstructive surgery, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, deep sedation, and general anesthesia.

Dr. Kodsi is a certified provider of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and all levels of anesthesia including deep sedation and general anesthesia. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, maintains a specialty license with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and is a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Ontario Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, and the ITI International Team for Implantology.
